Hi everyone!
So it's a Sunday evening and I have some free time and I was thinking (dangerous, I know). I have a lot of ideas and a lot of opinions, but I'm not really in the habit of publicly sharing them. Wouldn't it be cool to have a platform for sharing said ideas and opinions, and maybe even for getting some feedback? Oh and I already have a Weebly that has a page for blog posts just waiting to be used!

Well gee, maybe I should start blogging!
And one thing lead to another and now I am a couple of paragraphs into my first blog post.
You might be thinking, "Why exactly should I care about Andrew Griggs' ideas and opinions?" But perhaps you would be intrigued by an introduction to the topics which I plan to write about.
As you may or may not be aware, I'm currently going into my third year in the mechanical engineering program at the University of Cincinnati. And throughout my fledgling college student career I have been involved with student government, first at the college level (Engineering & Applied Science Tribunal) and now at the university level (Undergraduate Student Senate). And what I have come to realize is this:
The University of Cincinnati is great (awesome, even), but there is a lot of room for improvement.
Improvement? Like where? How about...

These are issues that impact virtually all UC students, and we students have an opportunity to make a difference in our own college experience. We've made big strides recently in safety and sustainability. But there's a lot that can still be done to improve the UC experience, and that's what I'm going to write about on this blog.
If I haven't already lost your attention, check back in a couple days when I'll post my first blog post that is actually about something. I'll be writing about student course evaluations, a hot topic during the last undergraduate student body elections.
Together I am hoping we can bring light to some of the issues that our university faces, and take action to make tomorrow's UC just a little bit better than today's UC.
Stay classy!
Andrew
